Corrections
The most useful message you can send. Tell us which essay, which sentence, and ideally which text we should have read instead. Corrections are made in place, dated and left visible.

If we have quoted a weak translation, or missed an edition that changes the reading, we want to know. Translator and year is enough — we will find the rest. Arguments about what the Sampo is are also accepted.

If we have written about a figure from a faith you practise and got the tone or the tense wrong, please tell us plainly. That is a correction we will make quickly and without argument.

We do not identify or value antiques and weapons, do not authenticate objects, and cannot give advice on smithing practice or safety. For real forge work, find a real smith — there are excellent ones, and none of them are us.

Slow, but every message is read
Replies usually take a week or two. Corrections jump the queue.

Reprints and permissions
Quoting a paragraph with a link needs no permission. Anything larger — classroom packs, translations of an essay, reprinting in full — is usually granted, so just ask. See the terms of use.
